Interior has just completed production on a four-part docuseries, TEENHOOD—a groundbreaking portrait of adolescence captured with rare intimacy and honesty. Filmed over 50 transformative days, four American teens grant unprecedented access to their private worlds, revealing pivotal moments of growth as they unfold. THE COLONY
Interior is currently developing The Colony, a feature film that reveals the untold origins of Malcolm X through a stark, transformative chapter in his youth. Inspired by Patrick Parr’s Malcolm Before X, the story unfolds in an unlikely setting where confinement becomes a catalyst for awakening—where books, debate and self-discovery illuminate a mind on the brink of becoming. The Colony is a poetic, revelatory journey into the hidden crucible that shaped one of history’s most powerful voices.

ALONE
Interior’s co-founder and director Rafael Monserrate serves as showrunner and executive producer on Alone, the long-running American survival competition series now in its 13th season and recently debuting at number four on Netflix. In each season, ten survivalists are dropped into remote wilderness with limited gear and no human contact, tasked with enduring nature’s harshest elements while self-documenting their daily struggle to build shelter, find food and withstand isolation; the last contestant standing without tapping out wins a cash prize, making Alone one of the most unfiltered tests of human resilience and ingenuity on television.
PEEL
Interior’s Rafael Monserrate, produced and directed Peel, a 2019 Sony Pictures comedy-drama feature about a gentle, good-hearted man who must finally step into the world after years of isolation following his mother’s death. The film follows Peel (Emile Hirsch) as his child-like innocence and openness unexpectedly affect the damaged characters he meets while he tries to rebuild connection and family, forging unlikely bonds and searching for those he’s lost along the way in this heartfelt coming-of-age story.
